Tenuta Arabona

Tenuta Arabona is a family run organic winery founded by Maria Antonietta and Domenico in 2006. We are located in Manoppello, in the Province of Pescara, in Abruzzo.

Even if the winery was founded in 2006, its origins date back to the '60s, when Domenico’s parents, passionate winemakers, created a farm. Since the 80’s Domenico started to dedicate himself to the company, increasing its size and starting a slow and deep restructuring. In 1991 the company get a very important result: the assignment of the organic farming certification.

Today our estate includes about 25 hectares of vineyards and 1,5 hectars of olive grove, located at the foot of the Majella massif and close to the namesake National Natural Park. We mainly cultivate Abruzzo’s typical vines, such as Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Pecorino and Passerina.

From the cultivation to the bottling, all the steps are directly controlled and led by the owner and winemaker Domenico. The grapepicking is strictly handmade and the grapes are immediately processed after the picking.

Our winery is equipped with the latest technologies for winemaking, yet rooted in ancient traditions, in order to maintain the authentic, natural flavours of the grapes. All these factors contribute to the production of a great excellance wine.

During the last decade the company continued growing and improving its product range and by now we are exporting through Europe and Canada. Our wines have been awarded and reviewed several times by Italian and International guides. In 2020 we received two awards from the International Organic wine award - Bioweinpreis.
