Società Agricola D'Alessandro s.s.

The Azienda Agricola D’Alessandro was founded in 1958 in Apulia, in the town of Conversano (BA), making wines from its own grapes and especially from grapes of vinegrowers of this area, working in a Winery with a seating capacity of 20.000 hL.
With the fourth generation at the head of the Company, the D’Alessandro Family has been increasing the extent of its vineyards with the aim to create a very short production chain for a better quality control from the vineyard to the wine for the consumer.
The Azienda Agricola D’Alessandro has 55 hectars of vineyards, grown in loamy and chalky-loamy soils at 300-400 m asl, overlooking the Adriatic Sea, in different towns far 20 km from Bari.
In our Estates we grow only native Apulian vine varieties such as Primitivo, Negramaro, Malvasia Nera, Uva di Troia, Sangiovese, Verdeca and Minutolo.
Our lands are rich of microelements and well exposed and it allows an environmentally-friendly plantation.
As the working needs have been changing, concerning both quantity and technologies, the D’Alessandro Family decided to move to a new plant. The new Winery has a seating capacity of 30.000 hL in stainless steel tanks and underground concrete vats. The Winery has all the technologies to produce every kind of wine, even autoclave for Charmat Method.
Besides a small cellar for barriques, the Winery has a wide tasting room which hosts winelovers and a terrace with a breath-taking view on one side on the Norman Castle and on the other side on the Adriatic Sea.
