CANTINA DI BARILE-CONSORZIO VITICOLTORI ASSOCIATI DEL VULTURE SOC. COOP. ARL.

http://www.cantinadibarile.it

The Associated Winemakers Consortium of the Vulture district has its headquarters in Barile. It gathers the Wine Cellar Cooperatives and the oldest individual wineries which wrote the history of oenology in this region, all of them are located on the slopes of Mount Vulture, in hilly areas of volcanic origin.
The Consortium’s plant is provided with modern winemaking equipment capable to produce twenty thousand hectoliters of wine, five thousand of which are aged in oak barrels placed in tuff grottoes. The Consortium oenologist personally follows all the production stages: from grapes growing in the vineyards, to grape processing, from ageing to bottling.
The natural organic richness of the soil, together with the traditional winemaking ability, allows to the Associated Winemakers Consortium of the Vulture district to obtain important awards both nationally and internationally.
