Borgo Turrito is a wine producing company that combines tradition, youth and innovation. It is located in Borgo Incoronata, an ancient suburb a few kilometers from Foggia, in Apulia. It borders the Bosco Incoronata Regional Park, in a protected area of over 1000 hectares. t was born from the ultra-centenary experience and passion of a family who dedicated many generations to the production of good wines. Borgo Turrito supports and applies the values of sustainable agriculture. Natural resources must be used with care and maximum respect, avoiding waste, while preserving its integrity. We respect the rights and the passion of agricultural workers; the social and cultural role of farms. Biodiversity, local productions and peasant culture are the true richness of the world. The cellar and the corporate showroom stand beside the vineyards, to complete a ‘short chain’ that not only characterizes the grape processing and sale of the various products, but also the harmonious and functional organization of the business spaces. The winery is located in the center of an area of great naturalistic interest bathed by the Cervaro torrent and protected by the institution of a Regional Park. The wine cellar, the pleasant show room and the vineyards are only 500 meters from the Sanctuary of Mary Mother of God Crowned, pilgrimage destination of thousands of people from all over the world. The Borgo Turriro vineyards produce grapes of different types: Nero di Troia grapes, Fiano and white Muscat grapes. The vineyards enjoy the particular environmental and climatic conditions of the Tavoliere, which expresses a natural and historical vocation to the cultivation of the vine. Borgo Turrito enhances since many years one of the oldest and most characteristic wine type of Puglia,Nero di Troia. This is common, particularly in the North of the region, in the province of Foggia. The grapes for this particular vine produce wines that express the aromatic intensity and totally original characters.
