Born in the '60s when Vito Polito implanted the first vineyards in the rolling hills of Cilento, south of the
Amalfi coast in the Campania region just across the sea.
The grapes were initially sold, and only a small portion was made into wine for family consumption.
In 2000 after the replanting of the vineyards through the work of his son Vincenzo, plant
pathologist specializing in viticulture, it has a turning point in the company.
It began making wine in 2005 and are bottled the first 5,000 bottles of Cilento Fiano D.O.C. and Cilento
Aglianico D.O.C.
The company currently has about 10 hectares of vines in production and new vineyards were
planted. The old cellar of the family has given way to a large and functional structure with adequate
space for both work and for the aging in oak barrels, where they are put in place modern
winemaking techniques that enhance the quality of the final product without detracting the tradition,
and has thus reached a production of about 80,000 bottles.
The philosophy of Vincenzo and his son Carlo, who after specializing in oenology today leads the
company, is to bring more people to the taste of good wine. The idea is to make the cellar a place
where you can meet the producer, realize tasting paths, a kind of Club del Gusto, especially
with the creation of the new tasting room.
